Сейчас точно не вспомню, но вешался после указания ставить с CD с
диагнозом на одной из консолей что-то вроде "файл не найден".
Искал он, собственно, в /tmp файл CD-ROM'а (вроде /tmp/hdc).
Сначала тоже на CD-вод грешили, бо пластинки были тоже
самопальные, пробовали менять CD-воды. Не помогло. Попробовали на
соседней машине - без проблем. Вот тогда и решили попробовать
добавить памяти. И я был весьма удивлен и зол, когда установка
пошла своим чередом, потомучто
