По крайней мере до последней версии не обновляется, если этого не
предусмотрел производитель телефона.
А Google Nexus S и Google Nexus One имеют только Google'овскую начинку
и обновляются Google'ом, насколько я понимаю, а не производителями
телефонов.
Это как сравнивать Google Chrome, который обновляется самостоятельно
by Google, и Chromium, который обновляется стандартными для
дистрибутива средствами и его свежесть зависит от майнтейнеров
конкретного дистрибутива.
