glxgears не может быть использован в качестве бенчмарка

glxgears можно использовать только для проверки базовой
функциональности - работает и хорошо. Если уж очень хочется
потестировать - тестируйте на играх или на специальных бенчмарках
вроде Unigine Heaven.
