Ну, у меня сейчас тоже аналогично
$ uname -a
Linux const-bgu.localdomain 3.0.4-std-def-alt0.M60P.2 #1 SMP Tue Sep

На драйвер, который идёт с нашим ядром CUDA встала.
Но после сборки SDK имею:

Понятно, что где-то остался мусор от драйвера с офсайта,
но плохо представляю, как от него избавиться.
