В очередной раз попробую установить линукс на свой домашний ноутбук.
На всякий случай, отпишусь к вам уважаемое сообщество, для того чтобы
не придумывать своих грабель.
До недавнего времени установка любого линукса на этот ноутбук была
бесполезна, до тех пор пока не появился надежный наземный канал. ну
да, все-навсего 256кб, но по сравнению с еджем и прочими
эрзац-тырнетами прямо таки автострада против разбитой поселковой
дороги.
Итак, что я сделал:
скачал Download Master 5.6 установил его в дефолтной висте. Сейчас
качаю Simply Linux вот по этой ссылке
ftp://ftp.altlinux.ru/pub/people/dkoryavov/distr/slinux-5.0.0-final-i586-ru-install-cd.iso.
Через 6 часов докачаю, запишу на болванку, попробую установить. Вопрос
этот дистрибутив лучший вариант для установки новичком линукса на
достаточно современный ноутбук с последующим апгрейдом по каналу в
256к? Есть шанс что SL нормально найдет дрова на сетевую карту
Broadcom 802.11g и сможет одключиться к WPA-сетке?
