Это разные реализации одного и того же. :) Я их подробно не сравнивал.
powersave в виде системной службы может не только усыпление.

Я его давно настраивал. Подробности уже забылись. Он имеет
документацию. Главное, как я уже написал, нужен отдельный своп.
Исключительно для его нужд. Подробности в документации таки лучше
посмотреть. Уже могу и соврать...
