Проверьте, пожалуйста, воспроизводится ли проблема при загрузке с livecd стартеркита lxde.
Если нет, попробуйте обновиться. Если воспроизведётся после обновления, будем локализовывать проблему дальше.
Я сейчас перешёл с lxde на lxqt. Могу точно сказать, что в конце декабря проблемы такой не было.
Буду удивлён, если проблема есть на декабрьском стартерките.
