Да, видимо проблема была в нём. Когда я прописал адрес второго DNS, то
имена сразу стали разрешаться нормально. strace при этом показал, что
адреса получаются именно со второго DNS сервера. А на соседних компах,
на которых всё вроде бы работало в тот момент, второй DNS был указан
изначально. Потому там и работало всегда. Почему я не указал второй
DNS на буке уж и не знаю, забыл наверно.
Меня смутило то, что сам 10.168.32.1 пинговался нормально, но вот
имена почему-то не разрешал. Вечно в этом HomeNet'е что-нибудь
отваливается.

Интересная утилитка. Не знал о такой. Надо будет поиграться с ней.
