Я попробовал на своём EeePC 1000H поместить панель справа в KDE4.
Как-то неважно она выглядела в этом варианте, особенно таскбар. В
итоге скрепя сердце вернулся к панельке внизу. Выводить таскбар
отдельной панелью смысла не вижу. Самые необходимые приложения
повешены на спецкнопки, остальные быстрее вызвать через Alt-F2.

Кстати, а как убрать заголовок окон, но при этом оставить оформление
границ окна. Потому как, если выбрать вариант "без рамки", то в таком
виде нормально смотрится только полностью развёрнутое окно. А мне бы
только убрать бесполезный заголовок окна, совсем.
