Я только не понял, куда адрес сервера DNS прописывать для каждого профиля?
Пока же я не стал заморачиваться с профилями, а просто сконфигурировал
статическое подключение, а затем поменял BOOTPROTO со static на
dhcp-static. Судя по документации он должен сначала пытаться получить
адрес по dhcp, и в случаее облома подключаться статически.
Вот только как быть с DNS мне пока не ясно.
