Ximian GNOME - это как раз то, о чём тут вчера был обширный тред. Это
как раз десктопная часть Linux - пример коммерческого решения на
основе Linux.
Отличается от J 1.1 плохой поддержкой русского языка, стоимостью (в
бОльшую сторону) и тем, что продаётся в коробке. ;)
Компания была основана двумя GNOME гуру - Мигелем де Иказа и Нэтом
Фридманом. :)
В ней сидят разработчики Evo, Nau, Gnumeric и Achtung! (последнюю в
гордом одиночестве представляет Joe Shaw :) - их часть, разумеется.
