Так драйвер или модуль?
Ошибка же говорит -- драйвер не соответствует модулю. Модуля
kernel-modules-nvidia-* -- два, для старого ядра и для нового. Драйвер
-- это nvidia_glx_* ? Так их тоже два...

Сейчас сижу со старым ядром, оно грузится и иксы запускаются...
