Сносил все по зависимостям, в итоге гном остался вообще без управление
звуковой подсистемой. Т.е получилось, что гном видит либо пульзаудио
либо не видит вообще ничего. И явного переключения пульзаудио на alsa
я не заметил.

Без него не получалось снести. Зависимости не позволяли.

Сейчас не могу посмотреть. Кажется как раз эти: alsa-plugins-pulse и
gnome-media-gmix.
