Мой ответ - это лишь предположение, воспринимать как IMHO.
Видимо, контроллер матрицы может испоганить её вовсе не портя жидкие кристаллы на
ней, а лишь подавая на управляющие ими транзисторы (на те самые TFT -
thin film technology) например, завышенные частоты, тем самым заставляя
протекать через них больший, чем можно ток (в т.ч. и емкостной), вводя
их в недопустимые режимы эксплуатации (перегрев => деградация).
Поскольку заменить их никак нельзя, то дальнейшие попытки ремонта
есс-но сводятся к полной замене матрицы.
Виноват только производитель ноутбука, который такое напроектировал.
