В принципе винты IBM DTLA и Deskstar, выпущенные до осени 2002,
подвержены повышенному риску вылета из-за конструктивного
дефекта, который имеет больше шансов проявиться при
некруглосуточном режиме эксплутации компа. То есть для серверов
они безопаснее, чем для домашней машины.
