Что-то у меня такого нет, как и /etc/eth1, etc/eth2, /etc/isdn0. Хотя
все работает :)
Рекомендую посмотреть следующее:
Поднят ли интерфейс eth0? смотрится командочкой ifconfig.
Как прописаны роутеры? смотрится командочкой route.
Заодно если первое есть, закинуть в эху все, что напишет route.
