Не собирается модуль VMware-workstation-5.5.1-19175 на ALC30 с ядром
kernel-image-std26-up#2.6.12-alt10.
Kernel-headers-std26-up и kernel-headers-modules-std26-up установлены.
Скрипту vmware-config.pl на вопрос
> What is the location of the directory of C
> header files that match your running kernel?
Отвечаю: /usr/src/linux-2.6.12-std26-up/include/.
На что получаю отказ:

Что ему не нравится?

Я сейчас ручками (make'ом) собрал модули vmmon и vmnet,
куда их теперь кинуть, чтобы vmware-config.pl
понял, что они есть?

Спасибо, прочёл.
Но у меня другая весрия VMW, так что там
проблем будет не меряно я чувствую.
Оставлю это как запасной вариант.

в /lib/modules/`uname -r` куда-то.

Проблем не будет, если воспользоваться спеком для версии 5.5 (он там в
отдельной директории лежит). Я так ставил - все прошло гладко.
