Проблема решена, но немного не так.
1. Обновил ядро (kernel-image-std-def#1:2.6.25-alt8.M41.4)
2. Поставил kernel-modules-alsa-std-def#1:2.6.25-alt8.M41.4
3. В /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-modindex прописал:
options snd_intel8x0 index=0
options snd_intel8x0 ac97_quirk=default
4. В параметрах звуковой системы KDE "Звуковое устройство" - Автоопределение
и всё остальное по умолчанию.
