Всем привет =)) !
Есть на складе где-то старая машинка -
процессор - P-166, ОЗУ - 64 Mb, HDD - 4Gb, FDD, CDROM. Вот
возникла идея: чего ей там зря стоять, а
нам зря принт-сервера покупать?
Подскажите - возможно ли на этом железе
поднять какую-то *nix-овую ОС, чтобы она
могла принимать по сети (TCP/IP, NetBIOS/SMB)
задания для печати на принтер
(установленный на ней же)? Т. е. быть
просто принт-сервером?
А ещё - возможно ли ещё сканировать её
заставить (локально естес-но)
какой-нибудь командой (типа scannow) с
сохранением результатов по сети (TCP/IP,
NetBIOS/SMB) в определенную директорию (под
определенным именем и паролем) на
форточном или новеловском серваке, либо
на ней же зашарить директорию с
результатами сканирования?
По поводу принтеров-сканеров - МФУ Canon 3110
нормально с *nix-овыми ОСями работает?
