Использую rsync
rsync -avlpztc --exclude 'SRPMS' --exclude 'x86_64' --stats
--delete-after --verbose rsync.altlinux.org::ALTLinux/5.1/branch/
/media/disk/konst/altlinux
имею
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (4725700 bytes received so far)
[generator]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at
io.c(600) [generator=3.0.6]
Подскажите, в чем может быть проблема?

У меня тоже такое происходит постоянно, почему - это не ко мне вопрос...
Я делаю rsync без ключа -c, тогда шансы на успешность обновления сильно
увеличиваются.

у rsync есть ключ --timeout. Думаю, что --timeout=600 будет достаточно.
