iso8859-5 чуть-чуть беднее (там нет некоторых символов, сейчас
точно не помню). И я не уверен, что Unicode таблица ближе к iso,
чем к сp1251. Но принципиально -- лучше бы "законодательно"
перейти на нее, чем то, что творится сейчас:) Избавление придет
только вместе с Unicode'ом, но тогда появятся другие беды:)
