Помогла активация следующих пунктов в firefox (about:config):
media.fragmented-mp4.exposed to true
media.fragmented-mp4.ffmpeg to true
media.fragmented-mp4.gmp to true
media.mediasource.enabled to true
Странно почему они были неактивны по дефолту.
