Поставил сейчас себе хром. Поисковик по умолчанию - google.
А так смена поисковика: настройки и управление chromium -> настройки ->
Поиск.
Но сдаётся мне, что у тебя, Андрей, что не то в конфигах или в кеше хрома.
Подвинь в сторону ~/.config/chromium , ~/.cache/chromium и посмотри, что
получится.
