Хм... на некоторых флэшках и на некоторых материнских платах не
работает. Раньше было чаще. Последних пару лет просто качаю любой образ,
просто через dd записываю на флэшку, и УМВР. Другое дело, что КДЕ
(точнее, там это заметно у меня) после такой операции "навсегда" теряет
способность видеть полный объем флэшки даже после полного переразбиения
и форматирование (fdisk'ом), а всякие танцы с dd нулями первых пары
мегабайт диска это, во-первых, какие-то ненужные танцы, а во-вторых,
после такой операции пришлось лечить флэшку лечилкой от производителя
(хотя может так совпало).

А альтовскиого торрента? А чем эти образы отличаются от тех, что на ФТП?
