Переустановка.
Второй вариант -- это почти наверняка порча системы с последующей
переустановкой всё-равно. Хотя в теории, наверное, можно и так.
В общем оптимальный вариант представляется таким:
- Сохранить в файл список установленных пакетов.
- Заархивировать /etc
- /home, надеюсь, отдельным разделом? Если вдруг нет -- сохранить его
куда-нибудь.
- Вспомнить где чего ещё важного. Сохранить.
- Установить новую систему (я бы миниальный какой-нибудь дистрибутив
использовал)
- Скормить апту сохранённый ранее список пакетов на установку.
- Настройку отдельных программ можно проводить доставая конфиги из
сохранённого /etc. Восстанавливать весь /etc я бы не стал.
Возможно чего-то ещё забыл. Но в целом примерно так.
