Имеется в наличии компьютер на мат.плате VIA VP6 (chipset 694X bridge
686B)
Для полной радости был закуплен внутренний зип-драйв.
После установки при обращении к зипу - машина в ступоре вплоть до
зависания, причем как в линуксе (Джуниор 1.1 + Сизиф) так и в
оффтопике-2000.
Поиск в интернете дал следующее:

There is a timing issue between

Это с сайта www.iomega.com При помощи этого патча в виндах все
вылечилось и залетало.
А с линуксом мне что делать? Было ли у кого-нибудь подобное? Как решали
проблему.
Там же на сайте есть такая штука:

Description: First IomegaWare version with Linux support.
Она может помочь? А то чтобы что-то на зип скинуть - так это надо
переливать нужное на фатовую область,
перегружаться в оффтопик, копировать, перегружаться обратно. Дико
неэффективно и неприятно.
Может дело быть в ядре? Я его при dist-upgrade не менял ни разу. Какая
версия может помочь?
