Я знал, я знал что не один такие грабли поимал. ;о)
во общем так: игры с hdparm результатов не дают,
нпример параметр -d0 возвращает что
opration not permitted
некоего результата я добился создав на зип-диске
систему ext2. Теперь оно не сыплет ругательства в 12-ю
консоль, но при опрерациях записи-чтения вдруг замирает
минут на 5 - 10, потом выкидывает ошибку что файло получено
неполностью, и продолжает копировать дальше.
Ладно, фиг с ним даже так меня устроит - но как прочитать зип в
формате ext2 под виндами?

этому
же вопросу, так отличия я нашел только в том, что у меня VIA vt82c686b,
а не
...686a.
У меня проблема не решена до сих пор (тоже только в Win2000 можно без
проблем
писать на ZIP), не очень приятно при загрузке дома выбирать систему из
соображений, нужен ли будет ZIP :-)
