Попробуйте поставить/поискать пакет с фирмварями.. мб ей что-то и нужно.
Так же не помешал бы вывод dmesg в обоих случаях и lspci.
P.S. нынче sb уже не те что были раньше..и зачастую не на много лучше
встроенных. Особенно касается недорогих моделей.
