Решил разобраться.
Система - сегодняшний сизиф.
Подключил принтер hp1018. Прошивка в него загрузилась.
Cups его не видит (localhost:631), что загружай usblp, что не загружай.
Естественно, всё, что я вносил в конфиги связанное с usblp я удалял.
Может кто ещё проверить - видит cups принтер (hp 1018/1020...) или нет?
