Во-первых, спасибо за советы с мостом или DHCP, сам недавно читал про
то, и про другое, но в нужный момент не вспомнил :/ В компе уже имеются
две сетевые карты плюс на новой материнке появилась встроенная сетевуха,
так что количество физических портов как раз то, что надо. Поэтому не
вижу необходимости приобретать дополнительное оборудование, времени и
деньгам, потраченным на его приобретение, я найду лучшие варианты
применения. Для Wi-Fi ещё понадобилось бы докупать PCMCIA модуль для
одного из ноутов, что само по себе не так просто (даже обычную сетевуху
для PCMCIA мне удалось купить только в Германии). С учётом того, что
расширение вычислительного парка у меня дома не предвидится (даже случаи
одновременной работы ноутов редки, хотя всё же и случаются) делать запас
на будущее необходимости нет (дочка пока осваивает компьютер на уровне
"нажать на кнопочку (возможен вариант -- поднять ноут над головой и
швырнуть его на пол) -- посмотреть на реакцию родителей").
