вот у меня такая же фигня.
тормозить начинает на вторые сутки работы. стабильно
именно с kde4, но именно процесс /usr/bin/X :1 vt7 -nolisten tcp -auth
/var/run/xauth/A:1-cR5Kpa
с lxde все нормально. 3 суток аптайма
думал на компиз (kde4 рюшечки) - нет, не они.
чтобы работать в kde4 надо его стабильно раз в сутки перезагружать
что еще странного, /usr/bin/X :1 vt8 (вторая X сессия) так себя не
ведет, хотя там тоже kde4 неделями запущен
пробовал профиль свой отодвигать - помогает не на долго
