Поставил tkabber, появилась проблема с треем (KDE4), вместо трея значок
попадает, как и основное приложение, в панель задач. В 4.1 такой
проблемы нет, все работает как нужно. В конфе ткаббера сказали что нужен
пакет tktray, он вообще на данный момент отсутствует в репозиториях.
Сейчас не могу проверить стоит-ли он в 4.1 (посмотрю завтра). Собственно
вопрос, нужен-ли этот пакет, причина в чем-то еще?

насколько помню дополнительно ставил еще tcl-tksystray и tcl-img

Эти пакеты, были установлены. Опять же в конфе говорили, что
tcl-tksystray не годится для замены tktray.

Самому tktray собрать неудалось, нашел только в одном месте на форуме
rpm с ним. В итоге пришлось пересобрать еще и cам tkabber со сменой
зависимости с tcl-tksystray на tktray. И собственно заработало, не
баг-ли это?

неа, у меня тоже кде4 и ткаббер из 5.1(сам ничего не собирал) всё последнее, глюка с треем не наблюдаю.
