Нашел решение. В /etc/hotplug/usb/hplj1020 Закоментировал строку
/sbin/rmmod usblp
# There is a timeout problem with udev and FC4, so spin it off.
(

else
log "... download failed."
fi
log ".... remove usblp module"
######## /sbin/rmmod usblp
) &
return 0
При этом все работает, ip_server снова в строю.
