У меня после установки ALTD5KDE, digikam не запускался пока не удалил
пакет kipi.

KDE 4.4
Подключаю камеру Canon PS SX110, появляется окно предварительной
конфигурации, жму "ОК", splash-screen digikam'а и дальше загрузка не
проходит.
В GNOME все работало на ура.

У меня из самого digikam эта камера нормально открывается. А вот из
диспетчера подключённых устройств - да, виснет. Впрочем, висло и в 4.3 в
4.2, и уже не помню, работало ли оттуда хоть когда-то.
