Сейчас в домашней системе стоит несколько дисков, в том числе два (200 и
320Гб), которые используются как файло-хранилища для
музыки/видео/фото/дистрибутивов и т.п. и примонтированы в /MEDIA, /FOTO
и прочие подобные места (да, знаю, что не по стандарту, но для дома так
удобнее).
Собираюсь эти два заменить на один терабайтный. Никак не могу выдумать,
как его правильно "разбить".
Сделать все одним разделом, и свалить в кучу все медиа-файлы? С точки
зрения удобства пользования этими файлами это вполне приемлимый вариант.
Но если вдруг какой сбой ФС, то есть шанс потерять все сразу :(
Порезать на пару-тройку разделов? Например, для видео, для музыки, для
дистрибов. Но размеры разделов заранее угадывать не выходит.
Использовать lvm? Имеет ли смысл это для разделов на одном устройстве?
Разводить lvm с целью расширить разделы на несколько физических
устройств в данном случае, ИМХО, не очень оправдано, второй винт проще
включить независимо от первого, разбив хранилище на части.
Какие еще варианты?
