Здравствуйте.
Попробовал поставиться с
altlinux-5.0.0_beta-20090615-desktop-i586-ru-install-dvd5.iso
Замечание:- CDROM обнаруживало только в "безопасном режиме".
В системе присутствует после установки gcc4.4
Ядро собрано gcc4.3.
Начал доустанавливать пакеты, собрался скомпилить нужные
мне драйвера и решил установить gcc4.3
От такой просьбы APT решил, что пора сносить всё, что
относится к KDE4, частично к Гному, ну и некоторые системные
важные пакеты.
На gcc4.1 такой реакции, к счастью, не было.
Выход, конечно, есть - собрать своё ядро с gcc4.1 и с ним и работать.
Но приятного мало.
В branch 5.0 gcc4.4 вообще не отыскал.
