Master для ALC269 был в ядре kernel-image-std-def-2.6.27-alt7.
В ядре kernel-image-std-def-2.6.27-alt11 его не стало.
Между этими версиями не пробовал, но скорее всего мастер потерялся
именно в alt11, вместе с приходом alsa 1.0.19.

Потому, что hal-laptop работает с Mono-регулятором. Таким был Master и
тогда регулировка/отключение работали. Среди оставшихся каналов с
регулятором моно нет.
P.S. Зато с alsa 1.0.19 заработал-таки микрофон встроенный.
