Здравствуйте,
А есть ли в современных дистрибутивах ALT хоть какая-то поддержка
usb'шных adsl-модемов (например, Zyxel Omni EE)?
Страничка http://www.freesource.info/wiki/HCL/ADSL датирована временами
3 Компакта и на ней написано, что "штатной поддержки этого модема ещё
нет, но надеюсь, вскоре она появится, при участии фирмы ZyXEL".
Я помню, что вроде как такие модемы использовали драйвер amedyn.
Выяснилось, что в дистрибутиве 4.1 его нет. Более того, даже в бранче
4.1 есть только пакет kernel-source-amedyn, датированный 2006 годом и к
использованию, как я понимаю, непригодный.
Amedyn, взятый с sourceforge, под Альтом у меня не собрался. Опять же,
там он от 2004 или 2005 года :) Вообще, такое ощущение, как будто после
2005 всякие телодвижения в сторону поддержки USB ADSL модемов в Линуксе
прекратились вообще.
Так вот, вопрос - есть ли простой и надёжный способ завести такие модемы
в ALT 4.1 или лучше сразу убеждать их владельцев покупать ethernet-модели?
