С полгода назад я этим развлекался, но использовал не JDBC, а нативный
драйвер для коннекта к постгресу (который SDBC). Работало...
Кажется, вот по этой страничке смотрел на настройку:

Сам драйвер должен быть "из коробки" уже установлен, если не ошибаюсь.
