Стоит сабж, настроен на репозитарии

выполняю
rpm -qa|grep kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp
kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp-1.2.2-alt2.r52.132626.6
далее, apt-get remove kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp
Чтение списков пакетов... Завершено
Построение дерева зависимостей... Завершено
Выбрано kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp#1.2.2-alt2.r52.132626.12 для
'kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp'
Пакет kernel-modules-et131x-std-smp#1.2.2-alt2.r52.132626.12 не
установлен, и не может быть удалён.
0 будет обновлено, 0 новых установлено, 0 пакетов будет удалено и 0 не
будет обновлено.
У меня сложилось впечатление, что пакет когда то был в дистрибе, а потом
его физически убрали.
В связи с этим вопросы:
Прав ли я?
Если прав, то зачем такое (физич. удаление из дистриба) делается?
И как поступать, если мне понадобилось удалить ненужный пакет, а он вот
такой "проблемный"?
