Меню придумали хорошенько не подумавши перед этим :). При запуске
чего-либо через меню совершенно не видно, что выводят программы в
stdout/stderr. Поэтому говорить "из меню не работает" это то же самое,
что просить "аборт по телефону".
Посмотрите в свойствах пунктов меню какие именно команды вызываются при
выборе пункта. И запустите эти команды из консоли. Если заработает, то
вешать в багзиллу багу на программу с диагнозом "не работает из меню,
работает из консоли", если не запустится, то разбираться почему (с
помощью рассылки, если надо), и снова багу на программу с диагнозом "не
работает потому что ...".
