Имеем: ALD4, обновленный из бренча и цифровой фотоаппарат FujiFilm FinePix
E550 с режимом вебкамеры. Как их подружить? Гугление не помогло :( Под
офтопиком работает на ура.

Пока рискну предположить, что нужно добавить в файл
/etc/udev/rules.d/90-libgphoto2.rules строчку с USB IDs камеры по образу и
подобию имеющихся, для доступа юзера к устройству.

Посмотреть работоспособность, как минимум. А так для организации видео чата и
что бы можно было через вебинтерфейс смотреть по сети/через инет.

Так, видимо, надо установить kernel-modules-uvcvideo-std-smp,
т.к. поддерживается linux-uvc драйвером http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/

Вот и поговорили :) Я тоже об этом спрашиваю :) Чем проверить
работоспособность вебкамеры. Нашел возможность в kopete проверить.

В фотоаппарате предусмотрены три режима:
1. Режим носителя: воспринимается как обычная флешка, файлы видны и копируются
2. Режим PictBridge: для прямой печати на принтер (из инструкции). В этом
режиме фотоаппарат определяется НЕ корректно, данные считаться НЕ могут. На
дисплее аппарата после некоторых попыток соединиться с принтером (?) выдается
ошибка.
3. Режим вебкамеры: фотоапарат работает как вебкамера (надо заметить очень не
плохая). Вот этот режим меня и интересует. Аппарат определяется и
определяется как вебкамера, что видно из вывода lsusb -v (приатачил).

Ладно, когда найду железку, и софт найдется.
Насчет драйвера- видимо, надо установить kernel-modules-uvcvideo-std-smp,
т.к. поддерживается linux-uvc драйвером http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/
Как я посмотрел, в бранче его нет, только в Сизифе, придется вам вежливо
попросить ruslandh@ собрать его туда.
