из коробки работает wifi тот, который на чипах atheros( искать в гугле
по слову madwifi)и по моему intel 2200, но его в москве фиХ найдешь.
Броадкомовские варианты - через ndiswrapper

по поводу документации - в дистре есть книга Альт снаружи и изнутри,
