Можно создать пару пользователей со скриптами старта/стопа, прописанными
шеллом. Настроить ssh-авторизацию по ключам, с клиентской стороны
использовать putty+pageant. Там настройки и опции командной строки
позволяют сразу соединяться куда надо при запуске ярлыка мышой,
получается весьма юзеродружественно. Правда обратная связь при такой
схеме не очень хорошая получается.
