apt-get install awesfx alsa-utils
/etc/modules.conf:
options snd_emu10k1 index=0
options snd_intel8x0 index=1
post-install snd_emu10k1_synth sfxload /etc/midi/8mbgmsfx.sf2
(интеловская встроенная карточка - её тоже использую)
файл 8mbgmsfx.sf2 ищется в интернете (вообще говоря, Xmbgmsfx.sf2, AFAIR).
aplaymidi somefile.mid
пока вроде всё.
