При подключении к инету дозвонится, похрипит и оборвется. Логи:

Sep 20 14:14:23 specialist pppd[5564]: By default the remote system is required to authenticate itself

Sep 20 14:14:23 specialist pppd[5564]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.

что в файле /etc/ppp/options ?
там должно быть noauth
