а как без них? :) на пальцах:
вариант 1: virtual provides. exim provides MTA, postfix provides MTA,
sendmail provides MTA. пакет, которому требуется MTA, не должен явно
требовать конкретный софт (разве что требование именно postfix
обусловлено конструктивными особенностями).
вариант 2: пустой пакет с пачкой requires.
