Я не скажу точно, но по-моему - нельзя, в случае raidtools.
Если важен номер массива, то можно сначала скопировать данные на
диск, прибить массив, создать его заново с двумя дисками и т п.
Но я не могу придумать случай, чтобы номер был важен.
Разве что копию или БД на raw device класть...
