В спецификациях форматов PGP есть упущение: для clearsig порядок
применения криптографических и некриптографических (в частности,
перекодирования в другую таблицу) примитивов не определен. Мы пытались
это решить в OpenPGP, но ряд товарищей резонно возразил, что в него не
нужно включать спецификации 7-го (прикладного) слоя. В результате,
элементы 7-го слоя все же остались (clearsig), а спецификации порядка
кодирования/шифрования не появились :(
Эта проблема проявляется в кроссплатформенной (для платформ с разными
native codepages) коммуникации в кодовых таблицах, отличных от ascii.
В PGP/MIME все путем (в спецификациях), и если клиент не берет
приложенную MIMEd-подпись, проблемы, скорее всего, с клиентом.
