Майкрософт патентовала файловую систему FAT и теперь от всех авторов
операционных систем будут требоваться уплачиваться лицензионные
отчисления Майкрософту или же изъятие поддержки ФАТ из ядер систем.
Так что если АЛЬТЛинукс теам не хочет платить лицензионные отчисления
Майкрософту от каждого проданного диска с системой АЛЬТЛинукс (скачанные
системы АЛЬТЛинукс вообще считаются нелегальными, так как содержат в себе
код поддержки ядра, и с них невозможно отчислить лицензионные платежи
Майкрософту), надо будет прибрать из АЛЬТЛинукс всякую поддержку файловой
системы ФАТ. Надо также будет убрать эмулятор ДОС, так как он эмулирует
ФАТ. К сожалению... А вот проекты типа FreeDOS прикроются и уйдут в
историю. Вот так то! ;(
